WHY PAY AT ALL?
We at Honeybee wish you didn’t have to pay, but unfortunately, from an ethical perspective, it is required that you pay for the services you receive.
Also, sometimes having a cost attached to something helps you value it more.
Therapy is not meant to be lifelong (though if it needs to be, it certainly can). Instead, it is a specific set of interventions provided by skilled and highly trained clinicians that offer valuable strategies for improving the quality of your life.
So, by paying for therapy, you are paying the clinician for taking the time to learn their particular set of skills, paying the practice that enables the clinician to provide those services, and are paying an investment into yourself (you see what we did there?).
Anyway, we know sometimes it can feel icky to think about money and mental health and wellness, but for the time being, this is the way it gets done, and if you don’t like it, we at Honeybee strongly (strongly, strongly, strongly) encourage you to think of alternatives and advocate for other options. In an ideal world, everyone would have access to all of the resources they need for wellness, so if that’s your passion, please pursue it!
