A Bit About Chris

Chris, a Wilmington native, specializes in supporting new fathers and individuals navigating major life transitions. As a father himself, Chris has a personal understanding of the challenges that come with adjusting to parenthood and the overwhelming emotions that often arise during big life changes. He helps clients build resilience and find clarity in times of transition, providing a safe, non-judgmental space where they can explore their feelings and work toward practical solutions that align with their values.

Having worked as a Professional School Counselor, Chris has extensive experience helping individuals from all backgrounds, particularly those facing significant life shifts. Whether it’s adjusting to parenthood, a career change, or other major transitions, Chris uses a solution-focused approach to help clients identify their strengths and navigate uncertainty with confidence.

Chris draws from evidence-based therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), tailoring each treatment plan to address the unique needs of his clients. His approach empowers individuals to develop practical skills for managing emotions, building healthier relationships, and finding balance in their lives.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and a Master’s in Education from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, Chris's education supports his ongoing commitment to guiding others through the complexities of life transitions with empathy and expertise.

Outside of therapy, Chris enjoys live music, disc golf, and taking walks with his wife, son, and dogs, embracing the importance of balance and well-being in his own life while helping others do the same.
